Dear patients,
Starting June 8, 2020, Prime Endodontics will be open for elective and non-emergency treatments. We will be able to bring back the patients who had their treatment started prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will first schedule patients with time sensitive treatment. We will allow more time for appointments to ensure adherence to social distancing and cleaning of rooms and surfaces after each patient.
Our staff has been trained on new ADA and CDC protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. The following precautions will be implemented:
· Telephone pre-screening regarding COVID-19 symptoms;
· Temperature screening and signing of COVID-19 consent form on arrival;
o If your temperature is >100 F we will reschedule your appointment and ask you to see your PCP;
· Daily temperature and symptom check for employees;
· Personal Protective Equipment – masks, gowns, gloves, eye protection etc.;
· Social distancing of patients in the waiting room and check-out areas (in the rare case you see another patient in the practice);
· Encourage the use of hand sanitizer;
· Installation of new air filtration units that use medical grade H13 true HAPPA filters in each operatory;
· Aerosol minimization using a high-speed suction system;
· Using rubber (dental) dam for all procedures;
· Rinse with hydrogen peroxide for 1 minute prior to dental procedure;
· Frequent and thorough disinfection of all surfaces and high touch areas;
· Strict adherence to our infection control policies regarding cleaning of operatories after every patient;
· Removal of all items that could be touched by multiple people in the waiting area;
· All registration paperwork must be filled out on-line prior to your appointment;
· Please arrive in our office alone. Ask your loved ones to wait for you outside. Exceptions for minors and patients needing assistance (one person to accompany);
· We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins and will ask that you call us first.
When you arrive for your appointment, if your appointment is scheduled for 9 am you can walk in. If your appointment is scheduled after 9 am, we will ask you to wait in your car for us to call you and let you know it is safe to come in. Please wear a mask or other type of face covering upon entering the office. If you don’t have a mask we will provide one to you on arrival.
Thank you for your understanding while we navigate through these difficult times.
